Announcing QRE Privacy Toolkit v2.5

Today, we are excited to introduce QRE Privacy Toolkit v2.5. This release marks a significant evolution from a single-purpose file locker into a comprehensive, local-first privacy suite designed for everyone.

We have redesigned the application from the ground up to be modular, faster, and available everywhere—including Android.

1. Unlimited File Encryption

The new Streaming Engine allows you to encrypt files of any size. Whether it's a 100GB video project or a full system backup, QRE Toolkit processes it chunk-by-chunk without consuming your RAM.

2. Password Vault

Stop trusting cloud services with your passwords. The new Password Vault lets you store logins, recovery codes, and sensitive notes securely on your device. It is Zero-Knowledge and completely offline.

3. Secure Shredder

When you delete a file, it isn't really gone. Our new Secure Shredder performs a 3-pass overwrite (DoD standard) on desktop systems to ensure data is mathematically unrecoverable before deletion.

4. Android Support

Privacy shouldn't be limited to your desktop. QRE Toolkit runs natively on Android, allowing you to encrypt photos directly from your gallery and share secure files seamlessly.
